SS10

Spring/Summer 2010

Title: Femme/Homme

About this collection:

The keyword for this collection is androgyny and the first time a small selection of menswear is introduced. Masculine traits appear in womenswear and feminine elements show up in menswear. Now girls need not raid their boyfriend's wardrobe for boyish get-ups, they could simply have their own.

Autumn/Winter 2008

Title: 47 Redux – From New to Utility

About this collection:

The 1940s may be remembered for World War II and, to the fashion savvy, the launch of Dior’s New Look. This collection is essentially about reconstructing the 40s silhouette and giving women what they really want – a wardrobe they could rely on in the 21st century. This collection consists of tailored and structured pieces with the versatility to transform silhouettes or entirely into new garments.

Spring/Summer 2008

Title: Street Couture

About this collection:

This collection is inspired by the simply constructed garments that Teddy’s late grandmother was fond of. Also incorporating elements from the Kebaya and Kimono, and styles from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, this collection is an amalgamation of extremities. East meets west. Light versus dark. Soft versus hard. Denim, often associated with street wear, and zippers are used in this collection extensively.

Spring/Summer 2007

Title: Women in the Wings

About this collection:

Women had for a time remained largely behind the scenes. But times have changed. Women have emerged from the wings and taken on leading roles in the modern world. Inspired by the paper dolls of yore, this collection is about simple constructions and the transformation of two-dimensional patterns into three-dimensional forms. Can a garment be put together without any sewing? Can an outfit be worn in different ways? Can clothes be season-less?
